Stephanie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Florida and her undergraduate degree in Communications with a minor in Sociology at Florida State University. She is originally from Florida, relocating to Colorado to be closer to her family. Stephanie found her interest in studying human movement and rehabilitation through yoga while teaching English in Japan for the JET Program.
Stephanie gained interest in pelvic health through exposure in her PT program, where she completed a clinical rotation with emphasis on pelvic health physical therapy. During that time, she managed patients with urinary incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain. She then began her career in Florida practicing orthopedic and pelvic health physical therapy under the mentorship of a seasoned therapist with the Women’s Health Certification. This fueled her passion for pelvic floor rehabilitation and she has committed her continuing education to take pelvic health coursework.
Stephanie develops her treatments with a focus on providing personalized care and evidenced-based practice. She selects treatment based on individualized goals and incorporates techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, self-care, and neuromuscular re-education. Stephanie is passionate about educating her patients on their bodies, treatment, and incorporating mindfulness into sessions to engage and empower her patients.
Stephanie is excited to now be living in Colorado, enjoying the beautiful mountains. Outside of the clinic, she spends time exploring her new home state with her family including her husband, daughter, and husky Bella, who is now very happy to be living in a state with snow!
